Hello thank you for taking the time to stop by. My name is Nick Savery and for the past 17 years I have been on a mission to find solutions and processes that give people more choice and opportunities in their lives.

I am an experienced Change and Communications Coaching Specialist, NLP Trainer, Consultant and Speaker.

My purpose is to bring together the philosophies of East and West, supporting people to experience true inner fulfilment and happiness, while creating the life of their dreams.

Over the last 17 years I’ve discovered tried and trusted methods and procedures that create lasting change. In doing so, you avoid and steer clear of the pitfalls of your past, attain new skills, and achieve greater success in your career and personal life. 

In my experience understanding the unconscious mind is key to this change. We ALL have an identity — a set of beliefs that define who we are, what we can and cannot or will not do. And it’s based mostly on our past — some of which is painful, and some pleasurable. Why is it important to dig down and understand your identity? Because your beliefs about yourself are among the strongest forces shaping your life.

Ultimately your beliefs control your behaviour & therefore your outcomes.

I’m sure you know well what I mean when those doubts come into your mind when you have a great idea, or when you have to present to groups of people.

You have thoughts such as “I can’t do that” or “I don’t have the first idea how to start”
or even worse, you have a burst of enthusiasm for a while, and then the doubts and concerns kick in anyway and you’re still stuck exactly where you were.  The Buddhists call this the “jumping monkey”.

You see, there are systems in our mind that work to keep us safe and remain in our comfort zone. This can also be understood as our operating software or neurological programming. Have you ever heard anyone say “Oh that’s the way I’m programmed or the way I am wired?” They are essentially correct in making these statements. The best part is, it’s been scientifically proven that the wiring and programs aren’t even yours.

Over the last 17 years I have dedicated myself to doing whatever it takes to understand how to improve myself, and others. I didn’t have anyone offering to help me, I had to find these tools for myself through trial and error.

Over the years, working with numerous clients using the proven processes and options for change,  I have literally seen people’s lives change so that they are more fulfilled, successful, happy, confident and calm in their everyday lives.

In today’s business world being an average communicator just isn’t going to cut it. It doesn’t make a difference if you work with stakeholders, team members or external clients, you need to be an outstanding communicator and influencer in today’s and more importantly, tomorrow’s business world. 

Why do communication skills matter

With more than 20 years in the recruitment industry, and 12 years as a coach, I have worked with 1000’s of people in management, technology, digital, data & analytics and sales, and can honestly say only a small proportion of people are strong communicators.

Why is this? 

In my experience, most people communicate from their model of the world. They are unaware and unable to take into account the way other people consciously or unconsciously process both verbal and non verbal information. They can be generally interested in the other person, yet still communicate from their communication bus stop, rather than the other persons communication bus stop. 

Time is so critical in todays world. We need to be able to go straight to the other persons bus stop – where they understand us clearly – making a quick impact, rather than trying to get them to come to our bus stop where we struggle to get them to hear or understand us.

It doesn’t matter if you are a jump in now and get it done person, or someone that wants to take time to consider things. We can help you get started right away or provide more information and details.

My mission in life is to guide individuals in becoming a better version of themselves, to be themselves at their BEST!

For this reason, I became a certified NLP Coach, and a certified counselling professional, focusing on self & personal development, mental health & wellbeing, and Loss & Grief.

From BIG challenges to little changes, I work closely as a strategist with business leaders, their teams and individuals, to provide a tailored solution to help organisations build happier, healthier, more-fulfilled workforces. When individuals thrive in all aspects of their lives, then their mental health & wellbeing is looked after. This they bring back to work, assisting companies in developing stronger teams, which then grows a lasting company!

I help and guide people focus on what’s most important to them, what will actually make them fulfilled, and therefore what will bring out the best in everything they do!

Prior to purely focusing on coaching & counselling, for 17 years I worked within the IT recruitment industry and held various leadership positions, which also included operating my own business. During this chapter of my life, I was involved (and developed a passion!) with coaching & counselling as my role generally have involved internal staff management, strategy, spearheading business growth, Business Development, Account Management.

As well as this, I was dealing with (external) stakeholders and senior management (including Owners, Directors, Managers and C-Level executives) and their teams, working collaboratively so that both businesses and people thrive. Conversations with Business Owners, Senior Managers & Leaders, were generally focused around building high performing teams, securing and retaining talent, creating talent attraction & marketing strategies, establishing employment brand awareness, improving hiring processes, and discovering new sourcing strategies. At the same time, it also involved (where applicable) assisting them in developing themselves around communication techniques, as well as around assisting and guiding them in how to manage their own mental and emotional state, so that their mental health & wellbeing was being looked after.

Conversations with individuals and job seekers would be around self-development, confidence building, interviewing techniques, coaching them around having conversations with hiring managers, senior managers and executives (depending on the level of their current position), coaching around having difficult conversations with their current managers and colleagues, career transitions and future career goals. At times these job seekers may already be in good positions (mentally and emotionally), whereas other times they are not, as they may have lost their jobs, or have been made redundant, or are recent graduates, or have come from overseas or interstate. In this situation when they are struggling mentally and emotionally, and I would be helping/guiding them through this journey.

This experience has enabled me to work with a variety of people, trained, mentored, coached and counselled various individuals at various stages in their professional as well as their personal life.

My approach is person-centred and therefore for me, it’s all about people first. A very human approach, backed by science, I help individuals thrive and therefore fuel organisational growth!
